Secrets for Postpartum Hair Growth

Secrets for Postpartum Hair Growth

I am continuously in awe of this community. Over on the Litore Studio instagram stories, I asked your opinion on a supplement that I've seen a lot of friends using - the Nutrafol postpartum supplement. Does it actually work? Is it just yet another product with pretty packaging that people are jumping in on promoting?

SO many wanted to know the secret for postpartum hair

growth (or hair growth for any other time in your life). And so many of you shared what has worked for your hair!!

So, I've compiled all the recommendations you sent me into this fun list, in case it helps you too.

Before jumping into it, I want to also note that postpartum hair loss might be just one of those things many women go through, and once it stabilizes, these growth products can help boost up the volume again.

So in a strange and momentary deviation from art (although, we all want to have perfect hair for our next beach vacation, right?), here are the serums, supplements, and products you recommended.

PS) This is not medical advice and you should do your own research on these products and consult medical professionals before taking any, especially if breastfeeding.

PSS) Some links earn commissions, but many don't.

"Dr. Groot hair thickening shampoo/conditioner has been a life (and hair!) saver! Just hit 3 months postpartum and it's repairing my hair already."

Divi Scalp Serum

"I've been taking [Nutrafol] for almost a month and my hair is still falling out... I think the divi hair/scalp serum is better! And it's more affordable and easier to remember than swallowing 4 massive pills."

Lia Organics Hair Oil

"I never took special vitamins for hair growth but my hair did eventually level out and the fallout stop. I started taking this $25 hair oil from Amazon and I have seen so much new growth! Baby hairs everywhere. I wash my hair twice a week and before washing, I squirt about half a dropper of oil all over my scalp and rub it in and then let it sit for a couple hours before washing. It's crazy how much my hair has grown."

I hope this resource as been helpful for you if you're also battling thinning hair, and would love to hear if you have other recommendations as well. I do not claim to be an expert at all in the hair care industry, and am far from a beauty expert or influencer. Just another mom going through the postpartum journey with you all :)

See you on the coast,
