Introducing the Oceano Scallop

Introducing the Oceano Scallop

All the pinks, greens and blues that will bring an elevated coastal charm to your home, in one scallop motif.

The prized "Oceano Scallop" is the most coveted addition to the Litore Studio shop, reminiscing on timeless Southern style and Italian architecture found throughout Florida's luxury vacation towns, from Sarasota to Palm Beach.

About the Oceano Scallop

This newest watercolor piece was inspired partly by Susan Shaw's beautiful "La Dolce Vita" collection, particularly the Marbella Wrap Bracelet, which I am so happy to own and am absolutely loving. I have gotten so many compliments on it everywhere I go, and the quality is unparalleled.

I've always had an affinity for gold scallop jewelry and for finding coral and rosy-toned scallop shells on beach walks. This launched a concept in my mind to create a motif inspired by my favorite new Susan Shaw bracelet, my favorite shells, and Italian architecture of Florida.

A Love for Italian Architecture

A native of Sarasota, it was always a treat to escape for an afternoon to The Ringing's famous 1920's-era Ca’ d’Zan. Translated from Venetian to mean “House of John,” the Ca d’Zan is a glamorous Mediterranean Revival style mansion with sprawling views of Sarasota Bay.

But Sarasota isn't the only town home to Italian architecture in Florida. From Venice to Naples, to The Breakers in Palm Beach and the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, there is so much Italian-American inspiration to draw from.

I am so excited to bring "Oceano Scallop" to the Litore Studio collection so that you can bring this elevated coastal charm into your homes as well!

Bonus Content:

Now if you're still reading this far, you're my favorite! I'll let you in on some fun bonus content, just for you.

If you are loving the Italian lifestyle but aren't ready to take the plunge across the pond just yet, head over to Pia's Trattoria. It is a little slice of Italian heaven in Gulfport, Florida, complete with checkered linens, homemade pasta, and old world charm. PS) you cannot leave without trying the Salmone di Capri antipasti. You will not regret it.

If you're looking for the perfect pair to your new "Oceano Scallop" artwork, I'd recommend the Sarasota coastal map motif for those local, or the Roseate Spoonbill motif to compliment the corals, pinks and greens!

See you on the coast,

Lindsey
