The whimsy of seaside curiosities seen in this illustrative Horseshoe Crab! Living up to being a natural curiosity, horseshoe crabs are not true crabs, despite their name (they are more closely related to a spider!).

Horseshoe crabs have changed very little since they first evolved in the Triassic which earned them their title of "living fossil." With constant change we see in our own lives and even in our most favorite coastlines and islands, this horseshoe crab represents the soothing consistency of nature. 

All the fine details:

  • Original painting is watercolor and gouache, painted on 140 lb. cold press Arches watercolor paper, 5.75” x 8.25” painted to deckled edge. Framed by Smith Bros. Framing in South Tampa, Fla. Framed artwork measures 16" x 18".

Shipping & Returns

Shipping:

Unframed prints ship 3-5 days after purchase. They will arrive in a flat mailer or flat box. Custom framed prints will arrive 2-3 weeks after purchase.

Returns:

If this is not exactly what you were hoping for not to worry! I want you to love your new art as much as I do. Simply mail it back within 30 days and once received, I will reimburse you. Please email LitoreStudio@gmail.com with any questions.

Care Instructions

Prints: Giclee prints are high quality ink on high end paper and last 200+ years (your great-grandchildren will love this art!)! Handle the prints only by the edges. Do not use your hands to wipe off any dust, this can scratch the surface.

Originals: Handle originals only by the edges as well, avoid contact with water or moisture, frame, and enjoy!
